From a two-minute profile to tonight's bedtime story
StorySprout keeps three things separate: who your child is, how the story gets written, and what product you want it turned into. That's why one profile can become a coloring book today and a full illustrated story next month.
1. Build the child profile
First name, age and pronouns, then the good stuff: favorite animal, hobby, color, the pet's name, and whatever they can't stop talking about this month. You type it all — there's no photo upload and no account linking.
2. Choose the world and the lesson
Pick from nine themes — space, dinosaurs, ocean, superheroes, trucks, mystery and more — or describe a custom world. Then choose a learning goal like counting, vocabulary, kindness or confidence, and it gets woven into the plot rather than bolted on at the end.
3. Design their illustrated character
Skin tone, hair color, hairstyle, glasses, outfit color and an optional cape or backpack. That character carries through the cover and every page, so it feels like them without ever using their photo.
4. Watch the preview grow
We plant the story seed, build the adventure, fold in their favorite things and illustrate the opening page. You'll see the real cover, the title and the first page with the rest of the book blurred.
5. Unlock and download
Choose the $5 activity book, the $19 illustrated story, or the $29 bundle. Your files are ready right away and printable on a home printer.

What the pages look like
Warm, painterly illustrations with plenty of white space and text sized for a child who's learning to read along. Activity pages use clean black outlines so crayons and markers both work.
In this demo, story text comes from our own story templates and illustrations are sample art. Live AI generation, PDF export, read-along audio and printed hardcovers are being connected — each is labeled clearly wherever it appears.
